23rd Epcot International Food & Wine Festival serves up global tastes at Walt Disney World Resort

The flavors and smells of more than 30 global food marketplaces, along with a full menu of new offerings will welcome guests once again during the 23rd Epcot International Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World.

Running from Aug. 30 – Nov. 12, guests can meet their favorite celebrity chefs, try a new food and beverage pairing in the Festival Center each Friday – Sunday, and get their groove on each night at the Eat to the Beat concert series.

Highlights of this year’s festival include:

    Enjoy over 30 global marketplaces throughout the World Showcase.

    The new Taste Track global marketplace that features specialty croissant doughnuts and gelato joins dozens of returning marketplaces.

  • For a fourth year, global marketplaces will extend into Future World to offer new tastes. Disney chefs will be creating new bites like Butternut Squash Ravioli with brown butter vinaigrette, Parmesan cheese and pumpkin seeds at The Wine & Dine Studio; Charred Chimichurri Skirt Steak with smoked corn cake, pickled vegetable slaw and cilantro aïoli at Flavors from Fire; and the New Brunswick Slider, slow braised beef brisket “pot roast-style” on a potato roll with horseradish cream, crispy fried onions and pickled vegetables on the side at the Hops & Barley.
  • The new “Sunday Brunch with the Chef” series in World ShowPlace will start

    on Sept. 2 with Top Chef All-Star Richard Blais and continue on select Sundays through Nov. 11 with chefs like Jamie Deen, Masaharu Morimoto, Tiffani Thiessen, Buddy Valastro, Geoffrey Zakarian, Art Smith, Carla Hall and Alex Guarnaschelli.

  • Eat to the Beat concerts – 225 concerts to be exact! Hit the America Gardens Theatre stage for new musical acts three times each night, including Sheila E, 98 Degrees, MercyMe and more, along with returning festival favorites across a range of genres.
  • The not-to-be-missed tasting event, Party for the Senses, returns to World ShowPlace with acclaimed chefs and vintners on Sept. 22, Oct. 6, 13, 20 and Nov. 10 to mix delicious bites and live entertainment.
  • Popular tv chefs and culinary icons will be on-hand to inspire and entertain at festival seminars and other events. A few names on the list include Rock Harper, Robert Irvine, Jet Tila, Shaun O’Neale, and more.
  • “Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It!” hands-on workshops on Wednesdays and Thursdays will give guests the chance to interact with visiting chefs, mixologists, bakers and other professionals. Hosts and topics will be announced later this summer.

Throughout the festival, guests can indulge in sweet and savory dishes and drinks as they stroll through Epcot, with their festival passports as their guide.

As they travel through the marketplaces, they’re sure to find something for everyone in the family, like the “Ratatouille”-inspired adventure as Chef Remy takes families on his Ratatouille Hide ’n’ Squeak scavenger hunt.

Other returning favorites include:

  • The complimentary Back to Basics weekend series in the Festival Center, where guests can learn tips and tricks from the pros. Book and bottle signings will be available, and The Chocolate Experience: From Bean to the Bar, hosted by Ghirardelli, will offer samples.
  • Culinary demonstrations and beverage seminars will offer daily learning and tasting opportunities at the Festival Center. On select Saturdays, guests can enjoy Cheese Seminars.
  • Eat to the Beat dining packages and other specialty dining and pairing events will be available at many of Epcot’s participating restaurants.
