Internationally acclaimed dance performance group Fighting Gravity will entertain guests during the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s Holidays in Space celebration from Dec. 20 – 31, 2017.

The term “lift-off” takes on a new meaning at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex next week when, for the first time ever, Fighting Gravity puts on a nightly show. The group will perform black-light dance illusions that seem to defy the laws of physics, as seen in their 2009 performance as third-place finalists on the NBC TV show, “America’s Got Talent.” The group originated as a fundraising idea started by students at Virginia Tech, and has been featured on stages around the world, with acts such as Will.I.am and Jennifer Lopez.

“Fighting Gravity performances spark the imagination and inspire wonder, which is what we hope our guests experience with a visit to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex,” said Therrin Protze, chief operating officer, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. “It’s the perfect way to light up the holiday season at the visitor complex. We are always challenging ourselves to find new ways to create memorable experiences and this innovative entertainment will bring our holiday offerings to a whole new level.”

Fighting Gravity will perform nightly from Dec. 20, 2017 through Dec. 31, 2017, with the exception of Dec. 25. The performances are included with admission to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. In addition, the visitor complex will also be decorated for the holidays, including a 35-foot-tall holiday mosaic tree, illuminated shooting stars and the NASA insignia “dressed up” for the season.

The visitor complex is offering a Fighting Gravity Premium Viewing Package that includes preferred seating for the show, plus a meet and greet with the performers. This package will also include a commemorative pin, desserts and beverages, and a printed photo. This package is only available for the performances on Dec. 21-31 (except Christmas Day). The package price is $25 for adults and $22 for children ages 3-11, in addition to daily admission. You may purchase this premium ticket online in advance, or on-site the day of your visit, pending availability.
