Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends runs now through Oct. 29.

This weekend, Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends has returned for seven weekends of fright and fun. With six mazes, six scare zones, a parade and other Halloween-themed experiences, there’s plenty for guests to be scared of.

When day turns to night at Cedar Point, the park transforms into a nightmare as Screamsters and other horrific creatures terrorize the park, and these new offerings challenge guests to face their fears:

  • Fearground Freakshow – This new maze takes guests into the world of the creatures who travel with the circus.
  • Deprivation – Guests must find their way out of this maze enveloped in total darkness as they are testing with uncomfortable sounds, claustrophobia, textures and unknown creatures.
  • Harvest Fear – In FrontierTown, guests can see what happens when a harvest fair goes south as the townsfolk invite guests to celebrate for all eternity.
  • Midnight Syndicate Live – Horror musicians Midnight Syndicate return to the Jack Aldrich Theatre to perform live on stage, with plenty of surprises in store for audiences.

Several of the park’s attractions will undergo transformations for the Halloween event, like Ocean Motion as it turns into Ocean Potion with special water effects; Cedar Creek Mine Ride, which will become Cedar Creek Mystic Mine Ride as it takes guests through a covered, unnerving shed; Monster, which will become The Friendly Monster and reveal creepy eyes on each ride vehicle, as well as special music; and the Witches’ Wheel by Magnum XL-200, which will feature a spooky soundtrack and lighting.

Not everything will be scary at HalloWeekends, though, as every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m., kids and their families can enjoy:

  • The Magic House on Boo Hill – This not-so-scary maze will offer new surprises for those who venture inside.
  • Hexed Spellbound – The witches who reside in the Hexed haunted maze have brightened up their spooky auras so younger guests can enjoy it without as many scares.
  • Camp Spooky – This section of the park is one of the three kids’ areas, and is specially decorated just for HalloWeekends.
  • Spooky Snoopy Eye Spy – Kids and parents can help Snoopy find spooky objects in this activity.
  • Monster Under My Bed – This show explores just what could be living under the bed, and is crafted just for kids.
  • Pigpen’s Corn Box – Kids can play in this sandbox-like area made of thousands of corn kernels.

Other kid-friendly favorites returning this year include The Great Pumpkin Parade, Woodstock’s Crazy Cornstalks, Count Snooptacula’s Costume Contest & Show, Sally’s Craft Corner and more.

Another offering back this year is the HalloWeekends Pumpkin Spectacular, a display of over 1,000 carved pumpkins that light up above the Top Thrill Dragster Midway.

Guests can also enjoy unique dining options at new food shacks throughout the park, as well as Boeckling’s Banquet, a dining experience inside the Eerie Estate maze, and Night of the Living Fed all-you-can-eat meal.

Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights now until Oct. 29. For more information, and to purchase tickets, visit halloweekends.com.
