Hong Kong Disneyland to temporarily close after recent reopening

Nearly a month after it reopened to guests, Hong Kong Disneyland will temporarily close for a second time on July 15.

This closure comes as a requirement by the government and health authorities, in line with the COVID-19 prevention efforts taking place across Hong Kong after news broke of a new outbreak of cases.

The Hong Kong Disneyland Resort hotels will say open with an adjusted level of services. The hotels have also put enhanced health and safety measures in place, such as social distancing and increased cleaning and sanitation.

The standard day ticket to Hong Kong Disneyland is valid for six months from the purchase date. If necessary, the Resort will assist in the refund for guests who have purchased tickets or have booked a resort hotel.

Refund requests can be made on or before Sept. 30 for unused park tickets, unused Magic Access, and other unused park-related products and services like tours, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experiences and meal vouchers that have not expired. You can learn more about cancelations and refunds here.

For those who have reserved hotel rooms with an arrival date on or before Sept. 30, 2020, they are able to cancel or amend their reservation at least 72 hours before the arrival date. Cancelations requests for bookings made through one of the Resort’s direct channels can be made by emailing the Disney Reservation Center at [email protected].

Magic Access memberships will be extended by the number of days the park is temporarily closed and according to the membership tiers. Details on this will be shared with members at a later date.
