Honk Honkers customized cotton candy shop now open at Universal’s Islands of Adventure
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, Seuss Landing’s newly opened Honk Honkers candy shop at Universal Orlando is now seeking to satisfy your sugar needs with gourmet customized cotton candy.
The Dr. Seuss-inspired section of Islands of Adventure at the Universal Orlando Resort has long had a storefront labeled “Honk Honkers” near the bridge to Lost Continent, but until last week no guest had stepped inside of it in well over a decade. Just in time for the Grinchmas celebrations, Universal has at long last opened Honk Honkers’ doors to reveal a candy store specializing in made-to-order cotton candy concoctions.
For the starting price of $5.95, guests get a ginormous fluffy ball of spun sugar. Flavor choices include strawberry, grape, green apple, blue raspberry, vanilla, and even birthday cake. Upgrade to the Unicorn Pop for $6.95, and your cotton candy will be wrapped around a massive multicolored lollipop instead of a paper cone.
But the real fun comes from the mix-in candies — including sprinkles, mini-M&Ms, marshmallows, and cookie crumbles — which can be added for an additional $0.95 each.
In addition to the cotton candy, Honk Honkers, features a small selection of other candy and souvenirs, along with some whimsical decor on the freshly painted walls.
Be aware that, because every customized cotton candy is crafted by hand, it can take several minutes to complete each order.
