iFLY’s new twin tunnels attraction is now open at their new location.

iFLY Indoor Skydiving, one of Orlando’s most popular attractions, has announced a brand new facility that features dual wind tunnels. This new facility is now open.

These two all-glass chambers stand side-by-side in the new and modern facility, and will give guests that dream feeling of flight, and is expected to double the number of flyers each year. The tunnels are just one part of a building design to be able to handle groups of 150 or more.

iFLY also offers educational Science, Technology and Math (S.T.E.M.) field trips, as well as other programming for children. Its new facility will also feature a single-story, open floor plan which will allow guests to easily view flight experiences.

“We are making this significant investment in Orlando because it’s where iFLY started and where we continue to have an enormous and loyal fan base,” said Matt Ryan, COO and president of iFLY. “Our goal is to deliver the dream of flight to everyone and by relocating to a new, expansive location we will be able to deliver this dream to even more people in the future.”

iFLY’s new location, located close to the Orange County Convention Center, will replace the original wind tunnel at its former location on I-Drive. iFLY will host a simultaneous closing ceremony for the old location, as well as a VIP opening party at its new location on June 13.

To help guests prepare for their flight experience, they must complete a training class led by one of iFLY’s flight and safety instructors. Then they must don the flight gear, which includes goggles, flight suit and helmet, and then enter their flight chamber by leaning forward into a cushion of air, with their flight instructor by their side.

All iFLY flight packages include flight training, gear, and flight time with an International Bodyflight Association (IBA) certified instructor. The IBA sets the gold standard for training and safety involving indoor skydiving instructors. All iFLY instructors meet or exceed those IBA standards.

“Our new location is right in the middle of the exciting I-Drive corridor and much more accessible to visitors in the area,” said Ryan. “Our decision to relocate on I-Drive is indicative of the excitement we have about the Orlando tourism market and economic development in the area.”
