Knott’s Merry Farm 2018 to bring the holidays to life
From Nov. 16, 2018 – Jan. 6, 2019 guests can experience a full park transformation at Knott’s Merry Farm, including their largest Christmas display ever and all-new seasonal décor.
Guests of all ages can enjoy a variety of fun holiday shows during Knott’s Merry Farm. One of these is “Merry Christmas, Snoopy!,” the ice show starring the famous beagle, the Peanuts gang and a cast of talented ice skaters.
In this musical spectacular on ice, Snoopy and friends enjoy the classic aspects of the holiday season, including trimming the Christmas tree, waiting for Santa, and attending the Christmas Ball. Guests can catch this show on select dates from Nov. 16 – Jan. 6 at the Charles M. Schultz Theatre.
The musical “It’s the Merriest Christmas Show Ever, Charlie Brown” will take audiences behind-the-scenes with the Peanuts as they plan their holiday festivities. This show will be performed on select dates from Nov. 16 – Jan. 8.
Families visiting Camp Snoopy can enjoy seasonal entertainment geared toward kids with “A Peanuts Guide to Christmas,” performing daily at the Camp Snoopy Theater. In this show, the Peanuts offer their wisdom on surviving the holidays as they sing a mash-up of their favorite holiday songs.
The streets of Calico will host classic Christmas traditions this winter, starting with holiday tunes performed live by Christmas Carolers. Guests can shop and stroll through Ghost Town’s Christmas Crafts Village, which will feature dozens of local artisans selling their handcrafted gifts.
Also in Ghost Town, at the historic Bird Cage Theatre, Knott’s melodrama company will perform Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” and O. Henry’s “A Gift of the Magi.” Performances will be held on select dates during Knott’s Merry Farm. The Bird Cage Theatre will also host the comedy and bluegrass tunes of Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies, continuing their Knott’s Merry Farm residency on select nights.
Guests can spend some downtime in Santa’s Christmas Cabin – a transformed Wilderness Dance Hall in Ghost Town that features classic holiday decorations, Christmas lights, and a photo-op with Santa himself.
The Christmas Cabin is also home to a variety of holiday treats, like roasted nuts and a cheesecake “tree” on a stick, dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with crushed peppermint.
When the sun goes down, Ghost Town will illuminate with a nightly tree lighting ceremony and a special Snow and Glow experience held every hour from sunset to park close. This magical snowfall dances to the Ghost Town lights and a different song each hour, bringing another day at Knott’s Merry Farm to a close.
