New ‘Lion King’-themed food offerings coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom
This summer, celebrate Disney’s “The Lion King” with a slew of new food offerings inspired by the film at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Starting May 24, these items will make their way to the park, and be available through the end of summer:
Simba Ice Cream Sandwich – Tamu Tamu
This treat features vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two chocolate chip cookies, decorated with a chocolate tail and an image of Simba.
Simba’s Sunset Dole Whip – Tamu Tamu
A twist on on the classic treat, featuring pineapple Dole Whip topped with red syrup made of watermelon and coconut.
King’s Cooler – Tamu Tamu
The adults-only version of the previous treat is exactly the same – except with rum.
Asante Slush – Shave Ice Cart near Harambe Market
A shaved ice treat that comes topped with watermelon and passion fruit-mango syrup.
Serengeti Sangria – Dawa Bar, Harambe Market, and Boneyard Bar
This red sangria is sure to beat the heat this summer.
Bugs ’n Grub Waffle Cone – Anandapur Bus and Trilo-Bites
Take a bite out of chocolate soft-serve ice cream in a green cone, complete with cookies and cream “dirt” crumbles, gummy worms, and a chocolate beetle.
“The Lion King” Novelty Sipper and Popcorn Bucket – Various Outdoor Vending Locations throughout the park
These will be available later this summer, but only while supplies last.
“The Lion King” Latte Art – Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co.
Grab your morning coffee with something extra: latte art featuring Simba himself.
Lion’s Latte – Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co.
A hot or iced latte with white chocolate and coconut and featuring Joffrey’s “Flavors of Africa” artisan roast coffee from Kenya.
Simba Cupcake – Pizzafari
A yellow vanilla cupcake, filled with white chocolate mousse and topped with buttercream, an edible piece featuring Simba, and a mane of orange and yellow icing.
Simba and Nala Waffles – Tusker House (breakfast only)
These kids waffles feature images of Simba and Nala.
You can enjoy all these treats this summer, along with other “Lion King” offerings, like the Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night dining experience.
