“The Twilight Saga: Midnight Ride” and “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Flight Rebel Escape” will launch this year at the park, a first of its kind indoor immersive destination that offers various virtual reality, augmented reality, and multimedia attractions, as well as performances, dining, and retail experiences based on Lionsgate’s popular film franchises.

The Twilight Saga: Midnight Ride is an action-packed VR experience set in the world of The Twilight Saga.

“Midnight Ride is a VR motorcycle simulator that features real motorcycles, avatar embodiment and proprietary Predictive Ride Tracking. DreamCraft has created a world’s first virtual ride path with real-time virtual motorcycle physics matched with real-world motorcycles and motion bases,” said Terry Sanderson, VR producer at DreamCraft Attractions, who helped develop the ride.

“Guests can move throughout the ‘Twilight’ world and interact with friends, family and familiar characters from a highly responsive motion base,” said Mark Stepanian, vice president of Innovation & Engineering at CAVU, another developer on the attraction. “Coupled with force feedback haptics, wind and scent, it is designed to fully engage all the senses. This ride makes for a truly ground-breaking experience.”

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Flight Rebel Escape takes guests into the world of “The Hunger Games” as they escape from the Capitol. This will be the first enclosed motion simulator in mainland China, will be entirely electric, and will run silently and without any environmental concerns.

The motion base will support a 30-person cabin with a digital screen, bringing the experience to life for riders.

Lionsgate Entertainment World spans across 22,000 square miles of indoor space, and features franchises like “The Divergent Series,” “The Hunger Games,” “Now You See Me,” “Gods of Egypt,” and “The Twilight Saga” – with over 20 attraction and entertainment offerings. The park will open this summer in Zhuhai Hengqin, China. To learn more, visit Lionsgate.com.
