Photos and interviews from Jingle Ball 2014 with Demi Lovato, Fall Out Boy, Nick Jonas and others

Radio station 93.3 FLZ hosted their annual Jingle Ball event on Dec. 22, 2014 at the Amalie Arena (Formally the Tampa Bay Times Forum). It was a four-hour music-palooza of what’s new and hot. The concert headliners were Demi Lovato, Calvin Harris, Fall Out Boy, Meghan Trainor, Nick Jonas and Jessie J.

While there was way too much going on to put into one article, here are some highlights from the event: NBC’s The Voice judge Pharrell performed hits including “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Happy” from “Despicable Me 2”. Jessie J belted out a live solo version of “Bang Bang” along with favorites from her new album, Sweet Talker. 2014 break-out star Meghan Trainor celebrated her 21st birthday and got the crowd up and singing “All About That Bass” and “Lips”.

Rapper and singer Jason Derulo took the stage getting the pop started with hits such as “The Other Side” and “Talk Dirty”. Then came Calvin Harris who got the crowd up and dancing, mixing a wide variety of his Top 40 hits. Fall Out Boy returned to the Jingle Ball stage and performed former hits, “Thnks Fr Th Mmrs”, “Dance, Dance” as well as “Centuries” from their upcoming 2015 album, American Beauty/American Psycho.

Closing the concert was Demi Lovato, who performed a holiday inspired set featuring her rendition of Frozen’s “Let It Go” and her hits including “Heart Attack”, “Really Don’t Care” and “Give Your Heart a Break”

Earlier in the day, the Jingle Ball kicked off with the action-packed Pre-Show on the Plaza. This free event included performances by Rixton, Shawn Mendes, Jake Miller and Jacob Whitesides.

933 FLZ’s Jingle Ball is a yearly event. Past performers have included Maroon 5, Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, and Justin Bieber. You never know who will show up next year.
