Meet some of the cast of The Walking Dead at Spooky Empire’s Ultimate Horror Weekend
The DoubleTree at Universal will be crawling with Walkers as some of the cast of AMC’s The Walking Dead appear at Spooky Empire’s annual horror convention from Oct. 24 to 26, 2014.
It all starts at noon on Friday, Oct. 24 with the annual Zombie Walk, starting poolside at the DoubleTree. Special FX makeup artists will be on hand, as well as music, vendors and drink specials.

· The Costume and Cosplay Contest on Sunday, Oct.26 at 4 p.m. will award cash prizes for the best costumes or cosplay participants can create. Kids will have their own costume contest where everyone is a winner! Pre-registration required.
· The Spooky Empire Freak Show Film Festival will screen feature length and short films from around the world throughout the weekend. The Film Festival will include the premiere of the long awaited film “Bubba the Redneck Werewolf” Saturday at 9 p.m. in the Main Events Ballroom. The film will be followed by a Q&A with the cast and crew. The Freak Show Film Festival will culminate in “The Freakys” Red Carpet Awards gala on Sunday at 5 p.m.
· The Tattoo Festival will feature amazing tattoo artists from throughout Florida and the nation. Celebrity tattoo artists scheduled to appear include Alli Baker from “Best Ink,” and T.J. Hal from “Ink Master: Season 2.” Tattoo of the Day awards will be presented daily.
· Live acts and performances VaudeVillains Burlesque Co. Friday night, and The Blast Offs, and The Living Deads Saturday night.

Single-day ticket prices will increase $5 at the door; three-day ticket prices will increase $10 at the door.
Ultimate Horror Weekend hours are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, Oct.24; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26. The Zombie Walk festivities take place noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24.
