This marks the park’s first indoor, interactive dark ride, like nothing the park has ever seen before. Manufactured by Sally Corporation, the new ride opened to the public on Friday, June 14.

“Mystic Mansion is truly one-of-a-kind for The Park,” said Kristin Hellmich, director of marketing and PR for OWA. “We searched long and hard for what would be the next addition to our amusement park, and this particular attraction checked every box. We wanted something new, different and unheard of in this area. It is the perfect family-friendly addition to our growing Park.”

Sally Corporation develop the storyline for the mysterious new attraction. Each four-person ride car (called a Doom Buggy) features interactive gameplay and characters to “blast” with a ghost-blaster as riders compete against each other for the highest score.

Before jumping into a Doom Buggy, however, guests are treated by Professor Phearstruck in the queue, where he explains the history of Mystic Mansion, its curse, and who haunts it now. Riders will need to pay close attention, as there are 15 different scenes in which the Mansion’s ghost could make itself known! After that, riders will weave through the family-friendly haunt filled with neon colors, blacklights, and a spooky storyline featuring the ghost of the hour: Boocifer.
