New Year’s Eve 2018 Roundup: Where and how to celebrate at Orlando’s major attractions

That’s a question many ask themselves right up until the big night. Never fear, for we have the entire roundup of all things NYE going on in Orlando’s theme parks and major attractions to make things easy.

Walt Disney World

If you’re visiting Walt Disney World Resort on New Year’s Eve, then you’re in luck – nearly all four parks have offerings for the occasion.

At Magic Kingdom, guests can enjoy the Frontierland New Year’s Celebration Dance Party, as a DJ will be spinning plenty of toe-tapping tunes from 7 p.m. until park close. Guests also can’t miss the Fantasy In the Sky fireworks spectacular, which will take place both on Dec. 30 and 31, starting at 11:50 p.m.

If Epcot is more your NYE style, take a globe-trotting trip around the World Showcase as DJs perform and get you into the spirit of the evening at the Future World Fountain Stage and the American Garden Stage throughout the day on Dec. 31. End your 2017 with the New Year’s Countdown Fireworks, an unforgettable show starting at 11:40 p.m., only on Dec. 31.

Even Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting in on the New Year’s fun, with a DJ dance party at Center Stage starting at 7 p.m., followed by a performance of Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! at 9 p.m. Later, after a park-wide countdown to 2018, a special presentation of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular at midnight. The DJ will also return to get the party started again until 1 a.m.!

If you’re looking for a more personal NYE experience, guests can enjoy specialty dining at many of Epcot’s restaurants, as well as two special dining experiences at the World Show Place Pavilion and Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

At the World Show Place Pavilion, guests can enjoy a savory buffet for the whole family as they listen to classic Disney songs, and then take fun photos by the unique event vignettes to memorialize their experience. This dining package is $72.90 per adult, and $44.38 per child. Advance reservations are required, which can be made over the phone at (407) WDW-DINE.

At New Year’s Eve at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, guests can pick from three exciting experiences to celebrate their new year: Disney Countdown to Midnight, Down In New Orleans: A Disney New Year’s Eve Dining Experience, and Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration.

Disney Countdown to Midnight takes place at California Grill with delicious dining, live music and a viewing of spectacular fireworks.

Down In New Orleans: A Disney New Year’s Eve Dining Experience brings “The Princess and the Frog” to life with a New Orleans-inspired festive feast.

Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration hosts family-friendly fun as guests are immersed in the magic of Disney/Pixar films.

Currently, Pixar Party is sold out, but Disney Countdown to Midnight and down In New Orleans are still available for $250 and $450 per guest, respectively. Space is limited and reservations can be made online or over the phone.

Universal Orlando Resort

Universal CityWalk will come alive on New Year’s Eve with EVE to ring in 2018. Guests can enjoy signature drinks, six CityWalk clubs with live DJs and bands, and unlimited gourmet cuisine including fresh seafood, roasted sirloin and tenderloin. Guests can also dance 2017 away on Orlando’s largest outdoor dance floor.

Guests must be at least 21 or older with a valid ID to attend this event. Tickets range from $125.99 to $224.99, with VIP and Annual Passholder rates available. Tickets can be booked online or over the phone. Visit universalorlando.com for more details.

SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando invites you to celebrate their connection to the sea and world above it as they ring in 2018 in style.

Guests will be able to experience a musical celebration and a fireworks spectacular to welcome in the New Year. There will also be interactive DJ stations, craft beers and quick bites for guests to enjoy. Check out seaworld.com/orlando for more information.

Legoland Florida Resort

New Year’s Eve is just for kids at Legoland Florida Resort with their Kids’ New Year’s Party. This event lets the younger guests ring in 2018 with their families before bedtime.

The party features a giant New Year’s-themed Lego mosaic, a missing clock scavenger hunt in Miniland USA; and on New Year’s Eve, a giant Lego will drop as everyone counts down to “midnight” at 8 p.m., followed by their biggest fireworks show of the year above Lake Eloise.

The Kids’ New Years Party is included with park admission, but there are VIP upgrades available for the event. For more information, visit legoland.com/florida.

I-Drive 360

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye as they ring in 2018 with their own festivities.

This free NYE event will feature live entertainment, street vendors, a food truck alley, a countdown to

2018 on the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye, and a midnight pyrotechnics display from the top of the parking garage.

The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye will also host a Champagne Experience for New Year’s, where guests can enjoy a glass of champagne or a soft drink as they relax and enjoy the views aboard the Eye. Guests will receive priority boarding and free parking in the onsite garage. This experience starts at $34, and can be booked online.
