Police Chase Experience now open in Las Vegas
If you’ve ever dreamed of participating in a high-speed pursuit straight out of the nightly news, drive yourself directly to Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where the world’s first Police Chase Experience is now open.
On Jan. 19, 2019, the new Police Chase Experience in Las Vegas held its grand opening event, hosted by Erik Estrada, star of the television series “CHIPS.” Estrada also features in the on-site video training guest watch before driving an actual police car — complete with lights and sirens — or high-performance getaway vehicle while chasing their friends, or getting spun out in a Pit Maneuver.
Police Chase Experience Las Vegas is the only provider of police pursuit and intervention driving tactics available to the general public in the United States. The program offerings are primarily based on the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Emergency Vehicle Obstacle Course (EVOC). The experience incorporates many parts of actual training programs used by the Police in Las Vegas, as taught by former LVMPD law enforcement training staff.
Guests at Police Chase Experience can pick between the “Role Call” chase simulation for $179, or “Tactical Ramming” pit maneuver training for $109. A passenger can ride along for $99. A “Calling All Cars” combo package, which includes each experience from both the cops’ and criminals’ perspectives, costs $486 ($299 for ride-alongs), or you can have the track all to yourself for an entire hour for $6,000.
