Fast & Furious attraction coming to Universal Orlando, replacing Disaster and Beetlejuice

Fast and Furious rendering ride orlando

Get ready for a high octane adventure as a theme park ride based on the Fast & Furious franchise makes its way to Universal Orlando in 2017.

Fast & Furious: Supercharged will take guests for a wild ride alongside characters and cars from the films as part of a new, original storyline. You’ll get an up-close look at some of the cars from the films in the queue as you explore the headquarters of Toretto and his team. Then you’ll board special ride vehicles for an action-packed experience. Led by film stars Vin Diesel (Dom Toretto), Dwayne Johnson (Hobbs), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty) and Tyrese Gibson (Roman), guests will feel like part of the “Fast family”.

The new attraction will be located in the area currently occupied by Disaster: A Major Motion Picture Starring You! and the Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue. Disaster is slated to close for good on Sept. 8, 2015, with Beetlejuice closing later this year.

UPDATE: They have set Beetlejuice’s last show as Jan. 5, 2016.

There’s no word on how different this version of Fast & Furious: Supercharged will be compared to its counterpart on the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood. For a look at that version, see our video below. Keep in mind that the ride is in 3D:
