Legoland Florida announces events for 2018, kicking off with Lego Ninjago Days in January

Legoland Florida Resort will kick off 2018’s lineup of events with Lego Ninjago Days in January.

In 2018, Legoland Florida Resort will bring 12 months of fun with a huge lineup of special events and attraction openings.

Starting with Lego Ninjago Days in January for three weekends, this event sets the stage for 2018 with exclusive activities and entertainment dedicated to the Lego franchise, and will host the opening of a new theatrical attraction starring the cast of the TV series, “Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu.”

Lego Ninjago Days – Jan. 20-21, 27-28, and Feb. 3-4

Guests can celebrate their favorite ninjas with this all-new event that includes in-park activities and special meet-and-greets with Kai, Nya and Master Wu. Kids can become ninjas in Lego Ninjago World and do battle against enemies like Lord Garmadon and the Great Devourer on Lego Ninjago: The Ride.

Lego Ninjago: Master of the 4th Dimension – opens Jan. 20

This new theatrical experience will combine 3D computer animation with 4D effects as Lego ninjas Lloyd, Jay, Kai, Zane, Cole and Nya find their way out of a mind-bending dimension. Guests can enjoy the show daily in the Wells Fargo Fun Town Theater.

The Great Lego Race – opens Spring 2018

This virtual reality roller coaster will transform the park’s already-standing Project X ride into a new experience featuring a cast of Lego minifigures. Learn more about the new VR coaster here.

Brick Dash 5K – Saturday, April 14

The long-running family 5K event returns with new sponsorship from Visit Central Florida and benefits Merlin’s Magic Wand, the children’s charity of Legoland’s parent company, Merlin Entertainments. More information and details on registering for the race will be announced soon.

KIDZ BOP Weekend – dates TBA

The KIDZ BOP Kids are returning to Legoland for three days of concerts, and the debut of their official theme song for Legoland Florida Resort, “Awesome Awaits.” Fans can experience exclusive meet-and-greets with Cooper, Isaiah, Ahnya, Sierra, Freddy and Julianna. Dates for 2018 will be announced soon.

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens Miniland Model Display – opens May 4

Legoland Florida will unveil a new addition to their Lego Star Wars Mainland Model Display on May the Fourth. The model will feature memorable moments from Episode VII of the Star Wars saga with lights, sound effects and animation.

Lego Star Wars Days – May 5-6, 12-13, and 19-20

Guests can enjoy the new Lego Star Wars display in Mainland USA during the three weekends of Star Wars fun. The event will feature many themed activities, including a meet-and-greet with Lego Darth Vader, and a Lego character from “The Force Awakens” and “The Last Jedi,” as well as hands-on Lego Star Wars building activities and more.

Fourth of July – Wednesday, July 4

Celebrate America’s independence with one of Legoland’s biggest fireworks shows of the year above Lake Eloise. Before the sun sets, guests can help create a giant U.S. flag made up of thousands of Lego bricks.

Brick or Treat – Select dates in October

The annual Halloween event returns with spooky Lego fun for kids and their families. The event will feature trick-or-treatign in the park, giant Lego models and photo opportunities, meet-and-greet with Lego Halloween characters, Lego build activities, and themed fireworks in Pirates’ Cove.

Christmas Bricktacular – Select dates in December

Legoland Florida’s annual holiday celebration will deck the halls once again with a 30-foot-tall Lego Christmas tree, which will be lit several times each night with twinkling lights and classic Christmas music. Guests can enjoy festive decorations and photo opportunities, including a giant Lego wreath and a life-size Lego Santa Claus, reindeer and sleigh. Kids can go on holiday-themed scavenger hunts with Lego prizes, and meet Lego Santa and Lego Toy Solider during their daily park appearances.

Kids’ New Year’s Party – Select dates in late December

This multi-day party will invite kids to dance and sing at a high-energy dance party, set goals for the new year with their families, and enjoy a special scavenger hunt in Mainland USA before ending the evening with fireworks over Lake Eloise. On Monday, Dec. 31, guests can ring in 2019 with the traditional “brick drop” before midnight, and an even bigger fireworks spectacular.
