Be among the first to ride Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point

Cedar Point and the LeBron James Family Foundation are giving park guests the chance to be the first public riders on the new hyper-hybrid roller coaster, Steel Vengeance.

The Steel Vengeance First Rider Benefit will be held on Friday, April 27 from 6-10 p.m., and is a fundraising event to benefit the LeBron James Family Foundation. Tickets for the event are $75 per person, and are on sale now. For riders who want even more bragging rights, tickets for access to the event and to get on the first public train are $250 each, and can also be purchased online. Tickets are limited and expected to sell out.

The Steel Vengeance First Rider Benefit gives guests exclusive access to the new coaster, rides on the Maverick roller coaster, a commemorative souvenir and complimentary food and drink.

“We’re excited to once again be working with Cedar Point on another exclusive first rider event,” said Michele Campbell, executive director of the LeBron James Family Foundation. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for participants to experience this incredible roller coaster first, and the event helps us continue to create positive change for students and families in Northeast Ohio through our programming that continues to grow every day.”

After the First Rider Benefit, Season and Platinum Passholders will get to attend an exclusive event in FrontierTown on April 30, and May 1-2. The Passholder FrontierTown Hoedown will give Passholders the chance to visit FrontierTown from 4-10 p.m. to ride Steel Vengeance, Skyhawk, Maverick, the Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Antique Cars and Wave Swinger.

Guests will also have the chance to try select FrontierTown food and beverage offerings, play games, and even meet the Steel Vengeance outcasts – Chess, Digger and Blackjack.

Tickets to the Passholder FrontierTown Hoedown are free and available only to Season and Platinum Passholders. Tickets will be available on April 10 online, and a valid Passholder ID number is required.
