Sakura Festival returns to Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs on March 8-31

Starting March 8 through 31, you can celebrate the return of cherry blossoms with the second annual Sakura Festival at Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs.

Morimoto Asia’s second annual Sakura Festival brings cherry blossoms back to Disney Springs starting March 8.


For the second year in a row, Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs will host a month-long celebration from March 8th to the 31st, featuring Instagram-worthy décor that showcasing the pink blooms of the Sakura cherry tree. Every day of the Sakura Festival, there will be special menu items inspired by the Japanese cherry blossoms during lunch and dinner service.

In addition, guests can attend a series of special events that will take place during the festival:

Crooked Can Happy Hour
Friday, March 8, 5-7 p.m.

Kick off the festival with Crooked Can Brewing Company’s brewmasters to taste the Sakura Kolsch, available only at Morimoto Asia paired with a gourmet selection of Pan-Asian light bites upstairs in the Forbidden Lounge. Crooked Can offerings will be available for $5. No tickets necessary.

Rosé All Day
Sunday, March 10 from 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The afternoon tasting event highlighting the famed pink drink will feature multiple stations of Rosé including 11 wineries, two sakes, and a thoughtful selection of food pairings meant to enhance the flavors of each wine. Each guest will also receive a complimentary souvenir stemless tasting glass before departure.

Pairings include:
Erath Pinot Noir Rosé – Paired with scallops bathed in a butter black bean sauce
M Chapoutier Bellarouche Rosé – Paired with Peking duck
Domaine De Cala Rosé – Paired with octopus light yuzu koshu
Smoke Tree Rosé – Paired with a beef yakiniku lettuce wrap with quick kimchi mayo
Vinho Verde Rosé – Paired with chicken yakitori
Banfi Rosé – Paired with raw bar menu items
Hana Hou Hou Rosé Sake – Paired with pork belly
Shayna – Fleurs Da Prairie – French Rosé – Paired with miso glazed salmon belly
Strawberry Nigori Sake – Paired with banana lumpia dessert
Dewatsuru Rosé Sake – Paired with tonkatsu-style pork
Meriden Rosé – Paired with assorted Dim Sum

Omakase with Chef Yuhi

Join Chef Yuhi Fujinaga for an exclusive and intimate dining experience featuring nine gourmet courses paired with wine and sake. Evoking the tastes of the “Toyosu Fish Market,” the seafood offerings will be from the newest and largest fish market in the world.

A festive celebration of Japanese culture ushering in the spring season, the Matsuri festival is a family-friendly event with Pan-Asian street food stations, traditional Japanese carnival games, activities, and unique origami as well as personalized calligraphy artwork for guests to take home.
