Second annual IllumiNations Dessert Party celebrating food allergies and intolerances to be held in October

The second annual Special Diets IllumiNations Dessert Party is being held on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 at the France Pavilion at Epcot. The event is private party specifically for individuals affected by allergies and intolerances. It will being hosted by Gluten Free & Dairy Free at WDW.

The event will include a dessert buffet in which all items will be made free of the top eight common allergens (including gluten/wheat, dairy, egg, soy, nut, corn, fish and shellfish). Guests will be e-mailed a list of all ingredients prior to the event and each item on the buffet will be clearly labeled with its corresponding ingredients. Last year’s event featured a variety of food allergy and intolerance friendly desserts including chocolate raspberry cupcakes and peach blueberry cobbler. In addition to desserts, guests will be treated to giveaways and gift bags with a variety of products. Vendors who donated to the first Special Diets Dessert Party included: Enjoy Life Foods, Udi’s Gluten Free, Bee Nut Free, HomeFree: Organic Allergy Friendly Treats, Surf Sweets, Living Without Magazine, and A&J Bakery.

Tickets for the event are $50 per person and include admission to the private event, special viewing area for the nightly showing of IllumiNations, access to an all-you-care-to-eat dessert buffet, gift bags and giveaways with products from special diets vendors.
