Six Flags’ Holiday in the Park expands to two more parks for 2018

’Tis the season for sparkling lights, Christmas memories, and plenty of roller coasters as Six Flags kicks off its annual holiday event, Holiday in the Park.

Six Flags’ annual holiday event can now be enjoyed at two more parks across the U.S.

This year’s event is expanding to two more Six Flags Parks, Six Flags Great America near Chicago, Ill. and Frontier City in Oklahoma City, Ok. Guests can also enjoy Holiday in the Park at:

  • Six Flags Fiesta Texas
  • Six Flags Over Texas
  • Six Flags Great Adventure
  • Six Flags St. Louis
  • Six Flags New England
  • Six Flags America
  • Six Flags Over Georgia
  • Six Flags Magic Mountain
  • Six Flags Discovery Kingdom

“Holiday in the Park is the biggest and most immersive holiday celebration on the planet and we are thrilled that this magical, world-class event is now offered at thirteen of our parks,” said Tom Iven, senior vice president of U.S. park operations. “From sweet and savory treats, to thrilling, nighttime coaster rides and pictures with Santa, Holiday in the Park is the perfect way to enjoy the wonder of the holidays with family and friends.”

Guests can enjoy a variety of offerings during Holidays in the Park, including:

  • Roller coasters, rides, and attractions
  • Millions of lights, featuring synchronized displays choreographed to holiday songs
  • Towering and tall Christmas trees, like the 200-foot-tall Kalightoscope Tree at Six Flags Great America
  • Activities like cookie-decorating, ornament-making
  • A petting zoo and camel rides at Six Flags St. Louis
  • Wood-burning fire pits
  • Seasonal menu items, including red velvet funnel cakes, hand-dipped caramel apples, peppermint and mocha fudge, and the new “Taste of the Holidays” at Six Flags Magic Mountain
  • Holiday-inspired photo locations, like the new “Deck the Halls” at Six Flags Great Adventure that features giant ornaments, stacks of presents and larger-than-life toys
  • Live entertainment with strolling carolers, choirs, and stage productions including “Majesty of Christmas” at Six Flags Fiesta Texas
  • Holiday shopping throughout the park, with plenty of stocking stuffers like apparel, ornaments, and plush toys
  • Extended hours of operation, giving guests more time for holiday fun

Holiday in the Park is held on weekends and select days this winter, and is included with all Season Passes and active Memberships.
