National Roller Coaster Museum expands its historic collection

The National Roller Coaster Museum (NRCMA) has added a historic 1918 roller coaster car to its collection. The car is from the Rocky Springs Jack Rabbit coaster, which operated from 1918-1927 in Lancaster, Pa.

Marilyn Monroe announces brand-new coaster coming to Movie Park Germany in 2021

Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe just delivered a major announcement on behalf of Movie Park Germany. In celebration of the German theme park’s 25th anniversary, an all-new Multi Dimension Coaster by Intamin Amusement Rides will open in 2021.

Hersheypark announces Candymonium hypercoaster for 2020

Hersheypark has announced its 15th roller coaster: the Candymonium, a hypercoaster with a lift height of 210 feet, max speed of 76 miles per hour, and track length of 4,636 feet.

In the Loop: Kings Island is saying R.I.P to one of its coasters

Rumor and announcement season is in full swing in the theme park world, and haunt season is also well underway at many parks. Kings Island, near Cincinnati, Ohio, has seized the opportunity to start their own rumor mill, by revealing that a coaster would be closing for good this October, during their Halloween Haunt event.
