Attractions in Detail: Is Pirates of the Caribbean based on fact or fiction?

Rather than follow the crowds and head to the right towards Tomorrowland, my family goes left into Adventureland and immediately onto one of my all-time favorite attractions, Pirates of the Caribbean.

Rapunzel named 10th Disney Princess in ceremony at Kensington Palace in London

Disney officially welcomed Rapunzel as the 10th Disney Princess character at a star-studded celebration on Oct. 2, 2011. The ceremony took place at Kensington Palace in London with a royal court including by Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, Snow White and Tiana.

Downtown Disney and resort restaurants to hold culinary demonstrations at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival

The Food & Wine Festival at Epcot this year will feature culinary demonstrations at the Festival Welcome Center. Signature dishes from Downtown Disney, Walt Disney World Resorts, and other restaurants will be prepared during 45 minute demonstrations.

New land and attractions based on the hit movie Avatar coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney has announced they have entered into a long term partnership with James Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment and Fox Filmed Entertainment to bring characters and settings from the hit movie Avatar to Disney’s theme parks. It will all begin at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the next few years.
