Yesterday the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak water play area soft opened in the Storybook Circus area of New Fantasyland. The second spinner of the dueling Dumbos has been revealed as well but hasn’t soft opened yet.
Walt Disney Imagineering is giving guests a new way to wait by removing the line completely at one redone attraction. In the new dueling Dumbo ride in the Storybook Circus area of the new Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom, guests will enter a big top tent into an open “queue” area where they will wait their turn…
With the announcement of a July opening for the rest of Storybook Circus and a “in time for the holiday season” opening of the remaining expansion (besides the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train coaster in 2014), construction is in full swing. This morning Walt Disney World opened the first phase of the New Fantasyland expansion in a soft opening of part of Storybook Circus at the Magic Kingdom park. The attractions that opened this morning for the first time include Barnstormer featuring The Great Goofini, one spinner of the dueling Dumbos and the Fantasyland Train Station.
We took to the skies today to bring you some theme park construction updates. In this update we’re taking a look at the Fantasyland expansion at the Magic Kingdom. The photo above gives you an overview of the huge area under construction. Scroll down for more photos and video.
It was announced today that the first part of the new Fantasyland will open in late March. The first phase openings will all be a part of the Storybook Circus area.
