Graphic Designer and Web Developer needed

We have a couple of freelance positions we’re looking to fill. Neither of these are full time. The Web developer/designer position would be on an as needed basis and the graphic designer would usually be needed four times a year.

Graphic Artist
We’re looking for someone to lay out the pages of each issue of the magazine, which includes some easy pages such as template pages and ad pages, to more artsy/complex pages such as our feature stories and the cover.

You must know Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Magazine layout experience is a plus. The job includes fixing up and resizing photos when needed and fitting the story and photos into the allotted pages in a very visually pleasing way. You must be able to meet the deadlines.

The magazine is typically 64 pages and comes out four times a year. The first job starts in February.

Web Developer and Designer
Our Web person would help us when we need it. It may be a lot of work at one time, or just simple things once in a while. There may be a new section we’d like to add to our Web site, a change to the coding of our custom-built shopping cart software or customer database, or just design changes to our site or ads.

We need someone who knows HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and JavaScript. It doesn’t matter which software programs you use as long as you get the jobs done well and on-time.

To apply for either opening, send an e-mail to [email protected] with samples of your work.
