We were invited on another hard hat tour of Legoland Florida yesterday. This was our first that really showed signs of what’s to come. Legoland Florida opens to the public in about two and a half months on Oct. 15 in Winter Haven, Fla. The 150 acre family theme park will feature more than 50 rides, shows, attractions and of course, plenty of Lego citizens. [Read more…]
This Saturday, July 30, 2011, the 501st Legion: Vader’s Fist will march through Heritage Square at the Orange County History Center. The march will take place at 11 a.m. and is part of the History Center’s 10th Anniversary Celebration.
“We held this event last year in conjunction with the costume exhibition,” said Marketing Manager Jen Cipolla Laney. “This year, we’ve been presenting popular exhibits and events from the past 10 years in honor of our 10th anniversary downtown. Since this event was one of our most popular of the last 10 years, we’re doing it again.”
Other events include a Tusken Raider Camp, a Droid Shop, a chance to build a lightsaber, coloring stations and a Lego playroom, as well as photo opportunities. The event lasts until 2 p.m. and is included with museum admission. For more details call 407-836-7010.
