The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal’s Islands of Adventure is still very busy. Most mornings guests are lined up just to get into the new area. So it comes as no surprise that Universal has run out of some of their exclusive Wizarding World merchandise. Some days the wand shelves are almost empty, the popular Pygmy Puffs are gone until next month, and you probably won’t be able to find a toy version of Harry’s white owl, Hedwig.
Star Wars Weekends is starting and some of the most popular Star Wars characters are headed to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Star Wars weekends runs each Friday, Saturday and Sunday through June 13, 2010.

My family and I took advantage of Orange county schools letting out an hour earlier on Wednesdays to visit Epcot yesterday. It had been a few weeks since we’d last visited. The store was located next to the recently opened LittleMissmatched store. Even though it was their largest store in Disney World, they’re still selling Planet Hollywood merchandise at their store inside their restaurant and just outside of the restaurant at Downtown Disney. They also have a store on Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
There’s no word yet on what will open in the now empty storefront.
Last week we told you about a new hand art vendor that opened in one of the stands at the Downtown Disney Marketplace. We also mentioned that a wood carving store had closed down, with its stand remaining empty. Well it’s no longer empty.
The store is owned by the same company that owns Magnetron (magnet store) in Downtown Disney West Side. Before they moved into their new stand, they had a wall of left-handed merchandise in Magnetron. Those of you who have visited San Francisco may have visited their other store on Pier 39.
