Aquatica is hosting the 4th annual Special Olympics Florida Polar Plunge on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013. Individuals and teams, alongside Special Olympics athletes, families, sponsors and community members, will be able to take a plunge into the cold Aquatica wave pool to raise money for Special Olympics Florida.
Aquatica is usually a warm and tropical waterpark near SeaWorld, but on Jan. 21, 2012 they will be chilling down their wave pool. This drastic temperature change is to benefit the Special Olympics Florida for the third annual “Polar Plunge”.
