Today, Oriental Land Company announced plans with The Walt Disney Company to develop a new themed port at Tokyo DisneySea, as well as a new Disney hotel.
“Dreaming Up!” is a new daytime parade that immerses Tokyo Disneyland guests into a world of fantasy and imagination.
Guests at D23 Expo Japan 2018 were able to hear from Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek about all new experiences and updates coming to every Disney theme park around the world.
Tokyo Disney Resort will be celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, as it opened its gates as the first Disney theme park built outside the U.S. on April 15, 1983.
“Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Fantasy” will bring the world of Disney’s “Frozen” to life at Tokyo Disneyland, from Jan. 11 through March 19, 2018.
It’s playtime at Tokyo DisneySea, as their new special event, “Pixar Playtime,” will give guests new experiences themed to board games and Disney/Pixar films.
Much of Disneyland’s 60-year history is headed for the auction block with Van Eaton Galleries’ “Remembering Disneyland” auction on Dec. 16 in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
A major Japanese financial service is reporting that Oriental Land Company, the organization that owns and operates the Tokyo Disney Resort, is planning a major $2.68 billion expansion, which would include enlarging the Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea theme parks by nearly 30%.
Guests on Star Tours – The Adventures Continue will be able to travel to Crait this November to celebrate the release of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”
