The Walt Disney Archives is set to return to D23 Expo 2019, and this time with an all-new exhibit: “Walt Disney Archives Presents Heroes and Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume.”
I recently visited the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California on behalf of “Attractions Magazine” and was treated to a tour of the lot from Disney D23. I learned a lot about the history of this iconic studio and even stepped into Walt’s personal office! Here are some highlights.
Disney has revealed new details for Destination D: Celebrating Mickey Mouse, which will take place Nov. 16-18 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World. Tickets are now available for Mouseketeer VIP level, as well as Gold and Gold Family Member tickets.
Disney announced a worldwide celebration today to honor Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday. The mouse made his debut in “Steamboat Willie” on Nov. 18, 1928, and has since been Disney’s global ambassador and brought joy and laughter to fans all over the world.
The Walt Disney Archives will return to D23 Expo this year with an all-new exhibit fit for all the beggars and blighters and ne’er do-well cads, titled “Walt Disney Archives Presents – A Pirate’s Life for Me: Disney’s Rascals, Scoundrels and Really Bad Eggs.”
D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, is commemorating dozens of Disney milestones by celebrating landmark anniversaries in 2013. D23’s Disney Fanniversary Celebration will hit the road visiting select cities from March 1 to April 7, 2013.
D23, the official Disney fan club, is offering its members exclusive discounts and offers for 2013 including savings on Disney Broadway performances, Disney Store purchases and more. All members have to do in order to receive these offers is present their D23 Membership card or use special member-only online codes.
