Top 5 Table Service Restaurants at Universal Orlando Parks and CityWalk – Theme Park Best

Each week, we ask you, our readers, to vote for your favorite food, ride, land, or activities at theme parks around the world. This week, we’re at the Universal Orlando Resort, on the search for the top table service restaurant at CityWalk or in one of the two theme parks.

For the purpose of this poll, a restaurant that is considered ‘table service’ utilizes a server to bring out your meal and drinks to your table, as well as buffet-style sit-down dining. These are the official winners at the Universal Orlando Resort:

Vivo Italian Kitchen

5. Vivo Italian Kitchen

Vivo Italian Kitchen is a full service restaurant at Universal CityWalk that features true Italian cuisine. While a smaller eatery, this location offers big flavor with its wood-stove pizza, large assortment of pastas and accompanying wines. The open expo-kitchen allows guests to watch, as chefs toss pizza sky-high and prepare fresh breads.

Prices range from $12 to $26 for lunch and dinner.

Writer’s Review: “While I have only eaten at Vivo once, a long time ago, I do remember that it was an excellent meal that was prepared surprisingly fast.”

Emily Ann (@geeknotice on Twitter): “Vivo, for sure. Great atmosphere, even better food! Plus, the service here is impeccable.”

Antojitos exterior

4. Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food

Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food is located near the back of Universal CityWalk, on the backside of Margaritaville, but with its outrageous exterior it will not be hard to find. This establishment prides itself on authentic food and entertainment offerings. Antojitos features table-side guacamole, empanadas, Mar y Tierra Stew, tacos, Mahi Veracruzana and more.

Prices range from $13 to $28 for dinner.

Writer’s Review: “Antojitos is by far one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. It offers a fun theme, great music and freshly prepared authentic meals. Do not miss the table-side guacamole! It was the best part of the meal.”

Aaron V (@a_a_ronv on Instagram): “Antojitos. Cheap food. Free show. Great service.”

Toothsome's Chocolate Emporium

3. The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen

The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen easily stands out on the Universal CityWalk skyline. This oversized steampunk-styled chocolate factory features massive milkshakes, character meet and greets, warm chocolate almond bread and a pastry shop. The restaurant also offers wide-sweeping views of Universal CityWalk from both the upstairs seating and bar area, as well as the downstairs open seating areas.

Prices range from $8 to $16 for breakfast, and $11 to $47 for lunch and dinner.

Writer’s Review: “Toothsome is such a unique food offering, and is one of my favorite at the Universal Orlando Resort. The almond bread is incredible, and probably the only bread you will be ok with filling up on. The milkshakes are massive, with a flavor option for all kinds of dessert lovers.”

Angélique Perfetti (@voyage_with_angie on Instagram): “Toothsomes Chocolate Emporium, great food for everyone with a lot of choices even for people with dietary preferences, amazing theming, very good service and not on the expensive side.”

Anthony J Tropea (@AnthonyJTropea on Twitter): “Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen! Great Food! Great Service! Affordable Menu! And come on… CHOCOLATE!”

Cowfish

2. The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar

The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar is another stand-out offering at Universal CityWalk. This eatery offers Burgushi®, a fusion of sandwiches made from sushi and sushi made from burgers. There is also the option to get a bento box with the same offerings separated into their normal styles and tastes. Along with a wild entree option, Cowfish also offers spiked milkshakes, premium sakes, beers, and exotic martinis.

Prices range from $8 to $28 for lunch and dinner.

Writer’s review: “The Cowfish offers a fun theme, with very outlandish food options. I myself am not a fan of sushi, but my sisters loved the very large selection of sushi options.”

Kyleigh Walsh O’Boyle (@KyleighWalshO’Boyle on Facebook): “I love cowfish and I’m a vegetarian!! Never thought I’d like it by the name but they have some great food for everyone!!”

French Fry Inferno (@FrenchFryInfern on Twitter): “Cowfish! High quality, unique experience, lots of choices. Best spiked milkshakes in the land. Very strong cocktail menu. Not your standard theme park or chain fare.”

Mythos Exterior

1. Mythos

Mythos is the only in-park table service restaurant that made it in the top 5. Mythos is located in The Lost Continent land at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Its towering rocky exterior, complete with carved ancient figures and waterfalls, combined with a cavernous grotto interior, truly takes guests into a dining experience unlike any other. Mythos features a mix of Mediterranean, Asian and American food options. It is also vegetarian and gluten-free friendly.

Prices range from $14 to $25 for lunch and dinner.

Writer has never eaten at Mythos. Attractions Magazine Editor and Publisher, Matt Roseboom, states: “This long-time favorite continues to impress in The Lost Continent. It’s like dining in an ancient dwelling held up by mythical beings. The lamb burger is one of the many favorites”

Christoffer Boas Anderson (@ChristofferBoasAnderson on Facebook): “I would definitely say ‘Mythos’ at IOA – A fantastic Mediterranean oasis with great mythical decor and friendly service. Top notch”
