Toy Story Land aerial photos reveal completed Slinky Dog coaster track
We’re still a year away from the opening of the new Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but you can now see the completed Slinky Dog coaster track thanks to new aerial photos of the Walt Disney World project.
These new aerial photos of the Toy Story Land construction site come courtesy of Don Gworek (@bioreconstruct on Twitter) and show progress on the expansion to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The new land is located behind the current facade for the Toy Story Midway Mania attraction, and will eventually connect to the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge area through what was formerly the Backlot Tour entrance and Streets of America.
The Slinky Dog Dash roller coaster, whose complete track has now been installed, will be a family-friendly ride with gentle hills and no loops.
You can watch an early concept rendering of the Slinky Dog coaster here:
Next door, Gworek’s aerial photos also document progress on the new Star Wars themed land.
At the recent D23 Expo, it was announced that Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will open in Summer 2018, while Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens in 2019. Learn more about the projects in these videos:
