Shanghai Disneyland’s popular Tron roller coaster is coming to Walt Disney World by 2021.
The hit Tron roller coaster from Shanghai Disneyland will make its way to the Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, according to an announcement at D23 Expo 2017.

The new Tron attraction will sit in an entirely new area right next to the Space Mountain attraction at Magic Kingdom Park. The Walt Disney World Railroad and Tomorrowland Speedway (which may see a retheming) should continue to operate according to the concept art.

The Tron Lightcycle Power Run attraction at Shanghai Disneyland is a coaster-style attraction where riders board a train of two-wheeled Lightcycles. It combines high-speed outdoor thrills with special effect-filled interior scenes.

Disney’s plan is to open the Tron attraction by Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021.
