Universal Orlando debuts new ‘Universal Dining Plan’

With the arrival of new dining plans at Universal Orlando, guests now have two options in pre-paying for their meal at the resort, which can be used at more than 100 dining locations. One plan can be purchased in the park and the other is exclusively for Universal resort guests.

Universal Dining Plan – Quick Service

This is the most accessible option, as it can be purchased in the parks at dining reservation kiosks and all quick service locations. With this plan, guests can get one of each of the following items per day:

IMG_0110• One Counter Service Meal (entrée and non-alcoholic beverage)
Two One Snack
• One Non-Alcoholic Beverage

The cost of this deal is $18.99 $19.99 for adults and $12.99 for children, plus tax. Guests can redeem at all Universal-owned food locations in the parks and select CityWalk locations, including Cinnabon and Starbucks.

(UPDATE: Starting Dec. 22, 2013, the price changed to $19.99 and one snack is allowed instead of two.)

Universal Dining Plan – Vacation Packages Only

This plan can only be purchased ahead of time with Universal vacation packages and cannot be bought at the parks. This plan includes:

• One Full Service Meal (entrée, dessert, non-alcoholic beverage)
• One Counter Service Meal (entrée and non-alcoholic beverage)
• One Snack
• One Non-Alcoholic Beverage

The cost is included with the total vacation package price, or can be added to a package at a price of $45.99 for adults and $17.99 for children. Guests can redeem it at all Universal-owned food locations in the parks and select CityWalk locations. It can also be used for the Superstar Character Breakfast and the Cinematic Spectacular Dining Experience ($20 adult and $7 child up-charge applies).
