Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Snow will fall on Hogsmeade this winter when “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” returns to celebrate that yuletide spirit. Hogwarts castle will transform with a brilliant light projection spectacular, and Hogsmeade will glisten with uniquely themed holiday décor.

The return of the holidays to The Wizarding World also means the return of the a cappella Frog Choir, comprised of Hogwarts students and their giant singing frogs, who return with harmonized holiday songs to delight guests.

A selection of custom-made Christmas ornaments created specifically for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will also be available this holiday season. Collectible gifts will include a variety of decorative Hogwarts castle snow globes, Hogwarts crest and house mascot ornaments, as well as a selection of unique tree toppers and a house pennant garland.

As night descends on Hogsmeade Village, “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” will light up Hogwarts with colorful images and animations that dance across the castle to a musical arrangement from the “Harry Potter” films.

New holiday-themed food and hot Butterbeer will also be available for guests to indulge in. “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” will run daily from Nov. 17, 2018 – Jan. 6, 2019.

Grinchmas

“Grinchmas” returns to Universal Studios Hollywood for a proper Who-lebration fit for The Grinch himself.

The annual event will come to life with a 60-foot-tall “Grinchmas” tree where Martha May Who-vier will take the stage with the Who Dolls as they perform fun musical sets to bring the holiday season in with style.

The Who-liday Singers, a hip boy-band, will perform a cappella concerts featuring a mix of Christmas classics and pop-rock songs.

“Grinchmas” will take place on weekends from Dec. 1-2 and 8-9, and then daily from Dec. 14-30.

Christmas cheer is everywhere

Fun and whimsical holiday decorations will be found throughout the park, including “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem” and the neighboring “Super Silly Fun Land,” as a crew of merry and mischievous Minions spread their Christmas cheer to guests.

Universal CityWalk

A 40-foot-tall Christmas tree will glitter and glisten with 200,000 LED icicles choreographed to the lights and sounds of the holiday season in the 5 Towers plaza at Universal CityWalk. Santa Claus himself will make daily appearances and pose for photos at 5 Towers as well.

The dancing water fountain at the heart of CityWalk will make a splash this holiday season by projecting streams of choreographed water into the air, complemented by red and green LED lights and holiday-themed music.

Guests can enjoy free concert performances at 5 Towers, as well as an ensemble of street performers throughout the holiday season.
