Walt Disney World introduces new annual pass, summer add-on for Florida residents

Walt Disney World has introduced two new offerings for their Passholders: a new annual pass called Florida Resident Theme Park Select, and the summer add-on option.

Florida residents now have a new annual pass option to choose from for Walt Disney World Resort.

Available starting today, July 9, the Florida Resident Theme Park Select Pass is an option for Florida residents to access at least one of the parks during most times of the year. Each of the four parks’ availability will be found through an online, 13-month blockout calendar, so guests can plan their visits ahead of time.

Priced at $439, this pass includes at least 325 days of access at select parks, and at least 175 days of access to all four parks throughout the year.

The difference between this new pass and the Florida Resident Disney Silver Pass is that the latter is designed for guests who prefer access to all four parks, and are more flexible with their visits. The Florida Resident Theme Park Select Pass is for guests who like to visit the parks daily, but are flexible with which park they are able to visit.

This new annual pass also includes discounts on food, merchandise and events, as well as included theme park parking – like all other Walt Disney World annual passes.

Also starting today, Florida resident Disney Weekday Select, Florida Resident Theme Park Select and Florida Resident Disney Silver Passholders can purchase the summer add-on option for $89, which gives them access to Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Disney’s Animal Kingdom through Aug. 9.

This summer add-on offering is not available for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, due to the recent opening of Toy Story Land on June 30.
