Yehaa Bob Jackson returns to Port Orleans Riverside resort
Yehaa Bob Jackson, whose hilarious song and piano antics earned him a 23-year stint at Walt Disney World, has announced his show will be returning to Port Orleans Riverside resort’s River Roost Lounge starting Oct. 14.
In a Sept. 9 video on the Bob’s Sunday Bunch Facebook group, wacky entertainer Jackson — known as “Yehaa Bob” to Disney-goers — made the announcement fans were waiting to hear: that his comedy and interactive boogie-woogie piano show will return to the stage after a year-long hiatus due to the pandemic.
Wearing a Give Kids the World T-shirt for an evening benefit performance at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Bob declared, “Disney called me today at noon, and they told me that I would be returning to the stage Oct. 14, which is Thursday. As far as I know, that’s the big re-opening of the resort. So I’ll be there when the resort reopens. I said, ‘Can I share?’ [Disney said,] ‘Yes, you can share on social media,’ so here we are.”
Yehaa Bob will perform on Oct. 14 and 15, but don’t show up on Oct. 16, because he won’t be there. Bob says, “On the 16th, if you’re coming, I have a contract that I have to be someplace else.”
Pre-pandemic, Yehaa Bob’s family-friendly performances took place Wednesday through Saturday, and he assumes his schedule will be the same, though he admits it is possible Disney will extend his work week by a day, for performances either Tuesday-Saturday or Wednesday-Sunday.
He assumes the show will take place during his previous time slot, which was 8:30 p.m. to midnight, but, according to his website, “the details are still a little fuzzy.”
What impact will that have on his Bob’s Sunday Bunch livestream show? “I plan on keeping the Sunday show going,” he confirmed. “We’re going to keep doing the Sunday show until you guys give up on it, so even though I’m going back to Port [Orleans Riverside], we’re going to keep getting together here [on the livestream] on Sunday night. Even if I have to go to the Port on Sunday night, I could still do an hour show from 6-7 [p.m.].”

This is great news! I couldn’t imagine a stay at Port Orleans Riverside without the fun evenings with Yehaa Bob in the Lounge! Even if we were staying in one of the other resorts, we would be sure to get over to POR to catch one of his shows. Yehaa Bob finds a way to get everyone involved with his fun, and at times, just plain silliness.
