New holiday after hours event announced for Walt Disney World, no Very Merry Christmas party for 2021

Things will once again be merry and bright this winter at Walt Disney World Resort, as holiday fun returns with Disney Very Merriest After Hours, the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, and more.

Rather than Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Disney Very Merriest After Hours will be a new, separately-ticketed event available on select nights from Nov. 8 through Dec. 21 at Magic Kingdom.

The four-hour-long event will feature “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks,” Disney characters appearing throughout the park, décor, treats, and more. As with other Disney After Hours events, a limited number of tickets will be sold for this particular event; tickets will go on sale next month and there will be an early purchase window available to guests of select Disney Resort hotels.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Sunset Seasons Greetings will return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this festive season, as The Hollywood Tower Hotel transforms with projection effects inspired by “Frozen,” The Muppets, Toy Story, and Charles Dickens.

Other offerings will include a motorcade down Hollywood Boulevard featuring Santa Claus himself, “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” with the festive finale tag featuring Olaf, and the return of Minnie’s festive meal character dining at Hollywood & Vine.

In addition to all of this, the park will be decked out head-to-toe in vintage-themed holiday décor.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The holiday season at Disney’s Animal Kingdom means the return of seasonal décor and festive floatillas sailing down Discovery River!

The Tree of Life at the center of the park will transform into a Beacon of Magic on most nights during the Resort’s 50th anniversary celebration. During the holidays, though, “there’s even more magic inspired by nature” as these Tree of Life Awakenings take place most nights.

Epcot

At Epcot, the International Festival of the Holidays will make a return this year from Nov. 26 through Dec. 30. Holiday Kitchens will be scattered across the park, the Voices of Liberty will perform, the guest-favorite Cookie Stroll will be back, and more.

Disney Springs

The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll, featuring elaborately-decorated, Disney-themed trees — some new and some inspired by The World’s Most Magical Celebration — will help transform Walt Disney World’s shopping district into a winter wonderland. And in Town Center, holiday shoppers will even be surprised with a magical snowfall.

Disney Resort Hotels

The Disney Resort hotels will be decked out for the holiday season, complete with iconic Christmas trees and other seasonal touches. Select gingerbread displays will also make a return this year!

Also at select resorts, guests will find restaurants offering holiday menus and specialty food and beverage items.
