Residence Inn Universal Studios breaking ground on March 23

Visitors looking for an off-site hotel within walking distance of Universal Orlando will soon have another lodging option, because a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Residence Inn Universal Studios is scheduled for March 23.

The new Residence Inn Universal Studios, which will be located at 5616 Major Boulevard on a vacant lot between two Extended Stay America hotels, will sport 196 rooms when it opens in 2017. The property will include amenities such as an outdoor pool, fitness center, guest laundry, sports court, business center, large outdoor patio with grills and free breakfast daily.
