SeaWorld adds new interactive mobile game during Halloween Spooktacular

Winning a prize during SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular is now as easy as downloading an app to your phone. During SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular, families can participate in a SCVNGR hunt together to win a prize. The free SCVNGR app is available on iPhones or Android mobile devices.

After completing three challenges at SeaWorld during Halloween Spooktacular guests win a free limited-edition Shamu lunch box.

SeaWorld Orlando’s Halloween Spooktacular SCVNGR challenges are:

• Apple Decorating Post: Head to the apple decorating station and create a treat. Type in your favorite topping used while decorating to win the first challenge.

• Welcome Creatures: Snap a photo of a real sea creature. (Hint: Last seen inside one of Manta’s aquariums).

• Otto Octopus: Shamu and friends are among many fanciful creatures welcoming trick-or-treaters. Snap a photo with any character at Penelope’s Party Zone.

To start playing, download the SCVNGR app at the Android Market or Apple’s iTunes Store. Once inside SeaWorld, check-in on SCVNGR, go to “places,” and then tap on “SeaWorld Spooktacular.” Follow the prompts to win a prize.

Halloween Spooktacular, features an ocean of Halloween fun where children can trick-or-treat, dance with whimsical sea creatures, catch silly and spooky shows and create sea-themed arts and crafts.

SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular takes place from noon to 8 p.m. each weekend in October. Children’s tickets are half-price with each full paid adult ticket bought online.
