Celebration book store closing

Reading Trout Books in Celebration, the small community’s only book store, is unfortunately closing at the end of the month.

The owners, Amy and Adam Parrish, said the store was just taking too much time to run. They both have been running the store along with their full-time jobs with Disney and if that wasn’t enough of a time killer, now they’re having a baby – so the news is not all bad.

If you’re able, stop by in the next week and a half and check out their “going out of business sale”.

The book store was a location for buying Orlando Attractions Magazine. No other stores in Celebration sell magazines, so we’re not yet sure if the magazine will be available in town. There’s also no word yet as to what will be moving into the book store space.

Read an archived store about the store’s opening in 2006 the New Urban Observer.

  1. That’s a shame. Downtown Celebration is transforming into nothing but restaurants and clothing/trinket shops. I used to enjoy walking down the bookstore to have a browse around but I guess that won’t be on the to-do list once I finally get moved back someday 🙁
