Nickelodeon Family Suites 4D Experience Grand Opening

The Nickelodeon Family Suites Hotel by Holiday Inn in Orlando, FL recently added a $3 million addition of a new 4D theater. This state-of-the-art theater held its grand opening on June 24th, 2008, premiering several 4D films including one featuring SpongeBob SquarePants. In-theater effects include seat vibration, neck & face air, leg ticklers, water mist, seat poke, and multiple scents (including a very accurate pickle smell!). Each show is preceded by a virtual “mass sliming” of the entire theater.

A word of caution: Be sure to shield your cameras and other electronics during any of the shows, as this is one of the wettest 4D experiences we’ve ever seen!

The 4D experience costs $9.95 per person for 1 show, $12.95 per person for 2 shows, and $14.95 per person for 3 shows.

  1. It seems interesting, but with what Nick hotel charges for a night (with or without fees included), they should offer this as a free experience for guests, instead of having something else with which to nickel and dime their guests with.

    I don’t think the addition of a pay attraction is enough to dissuade most from staying on-site at Disney or Universal.
