It’s official: Jurassic World – The Ride is now open to guests at Universal Studios Hollywood!

Inspired by the “Jurassic World” franchise of films, this reimagining of the classic “Jurassic Park – The Ride” attraction features the films’ stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and BD Wong, all reprising their roles as Owen Grady, Clair Dearing and Dr. Henry Wu. The ride also features iconic dinosaurs from the films, including the Indominus rex and the aquatic Mosasaurus.

Jurassic World – The Ride was a collaborative effort between Universal Creative, the Academy Award-winning special effects team at Industrial Light & Magic, and filmmakers Stephen Spielberg, Colin Trevorrow and Frank Marshall.

Along with the new ride, guests can enjoy the all-new Raptor Encounter, where Blue the velociraptor engages with guests in face-to-face encounters. Guests can also see the appearance of two new dinosaurs: a baby raptor with her Raptor Handler, and a life-size Triceratops. In addition, a new interactive “Dino Play” area is now open for kids to explore and excavate giant dinosaur fossils.

Guests can take in Costa Rican-inspired cuisine and down Tiki cocktails at Jurassic Café and the new Isla Nu-bar. For the ultimate souvenir, guests can trek over to the Jurassic Outfitters store for a variety of collectible, limited-edition, and one-of-a-kind items.

  1. Wow I love the realistic looking dinosaurs. Since Disney decided to get rid of the dinos in the Universe of Energy I guess we are off to Universal. Bye Bye Disney.
