Powerline Max surprises guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Goofy and his son Max have been seen waving hello to guests on the balcony above the Hollywood Tower of Terror gift shop since the pandemic, but in a surprise move today, guests are now meeting Max daily in his Powerline outfit from Disney’s 1995 “A Goofy Movie” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Max is now greeting park guests and signing autographs while dressed in his Powerline’s jacket and sunglasses near the Grand Avenue entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Fans of all ages, who grew up watching the movie, seemed overjoyed to meet Max and relive their childhood memories.

Powerline Max Meet and Greets begin at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

“A Goofy Movie” is a 1995 American animated musical comedy film produced by Walt Disney Television Animation. It follows the adventures of Goofy, a single father as he tries to connect with his son Max.

Max is eager to fit in with his peers and win the affections of his crush, Roxanne. Meanwhile, Goofy is trying to prove his worth as a father and ensure that Max has a memorable summer before he goes to college.

When Max lies to his friends about a supposed trip to Los Angeles with Powerline, a popular rock star, his father decides to take him on an actual road trip to the city to make up for lost time. The two embark on a series of wacky and unpredictable adventures, facing challenges and learning valuable lessons about family, friendship, and growing up.
