SeaWorld Orlando shares more details for first-ever Howl-O-Scream

A second haunted house and more details have been announced for SeaWorld Orlando’s first-ever Howl-O-Scream, which kicks off on Friday, Sept. 10.

The new haunted house, “Beneath the Ice,” will take guests into the icy wilderness above the Arctic Circle where a research facility was lost, buried under snow and cutoff from the outside world. Guests will find themselves as part of a rescue party, but the shivers felt aren’t just the cold, and the chambers aren’t just frozen tombs. Unspeakable horrors reside within, and those brave enough to enter will have to stay frosty and alert to survive.

In addition to the new haunted house, a new “roaming haunt,” show, and themed bar experience were also announced. With “Frozen Terror,” this roaming horde will feature icy, subhuman walkers with pickaxes and shovels, but they’re not here to help dig for survivors — they’re here to turn you into one of them.

The new show, “Monster Stomp,” will see Jack the Ripper take the stage in a modern rock and rhythm spectacular set in Victorian-era London.

“Tormented,” the themed bar experience, will allow guests to take refuge from the wintry horrors of the Arctic hellscape outside and refuel before venturing back out to face the horde.
