SeaWorld San Antonio announces world’s tallest, fastest screaming swing ‘Tidal Surge’
SeaWorld San Antonio has announced a new, record-breaking thrill attraction set to open to guests next year — Tidal Surge.
Opening in spring 2022, Tidal Surge will be the world’s tallest and fastest screaming swing, and will take riders on a high-flying journey above the clouds.
Tidal Surge will seat 40 riders and feature two pendulum-like arms that will soar progressively higher to a towering height of 135 feat at its peak. The dueling arms will alternate sides and sway back-and-forth at 68 miles per hour, creating multiple airtime moments that will levitate guests out of their seats with every swing. Riders’ legs will dangle as they soar over the waterski lake and take in the views of the park, while reaching multiple negative G moments before plunging back toward the earth.
This new attraction will mark a major addition to SeaWorld San Antonio’s collection of thrill rides, which includes four roller coasters, a high swing, two animal rescue adventure experiences, and a family coaster.
