Step into the world of ‘Doctor Who’ with this Zoom escape room
This “Doctor Who”-themed escape room will recruit players to stop the Cybermen from breaking through a tear in space and time — but through Zoom!
“Doctor Who: Worlds Collide” is a remote escape room from Escape Hunt in which players have 60 minutes to save the world. Check out the escape room’s synopsis:
Step into the future. Enter the offices of ChronosCorp HQ, where eccentric billionaire Alastair Montague’s efforts to develop commercial time travel have caused a tear in the fabric of space and time. The Cybermen are ready to take advantage and attack Earth.
You, the Doctor’s friends, must investigate the incident. The remains of Montague, his prototype time engine and the extensive collection of time-related artifacts acquired over the course of his experiments, are all that you have to work with.
In just 60 minutes the Cybermen will break through. The fate of the universe is in your hands. Take too long and the human race will be “upgraded.”
Players will come together with their team via zoom and play from home. They will take control of a real-life expert Games Master and guide them around the physical room, find hidden clues, solve puzzles, and battle to escape before it’s too late.
Here’s what you’ll need to play:
- Desktop or laptop device (phones and tablets can be used, but aren’t recommended due to their screen size)
- Zoom software
- Internet connection
- Notepad and pen to make note of the room surroundings
To play, all you have to do is login to your private Zoom session, where your expert Games Master will brief you on the experience. Then it’s up to you and your team to give your Games Master instructions on where to look and how to interact with the props in the escape room.
“Doctor Who: Worlds Collide” requires a team of 2-6 players and takes 60 minutes to complete. The escape room is rated PG (ages 8 and up), but adults must accompany players under 16 on the Zoom session.
