Disney’s blockbuster Broadway musical “Aladdin” and new musical comedy “Mean Girls” will make their Orlando debut as part of the 2019-2020 Fairwinds Broadway in Orlando series at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
Watching “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas” (based on the 1954 film) makes you feel like you’re watching a Norman Rockwell painting come to life. The cast’s talent, mixed with the costumes and sets draws you into the Christmas season of the mid-1950s.
The way I discovered “Hello Dolly!” originally was its appearance in the movie “Wall-E”. A few years after seeing that movie, I eventually sat down and watched the 1969 movie version with Barbra Streisand and absolutely fell in love. For the first time since its opening, the Dr. Phillips Center has curated four weeks of holiday festivities, including a variety comedy show starring comedian Jane Lynch.
