The third annual Underground Vampire Bar is back at DRIP this October, with plenty of entertainment and “blood” to spare.
The vampire experience has all new performances, dance choreography and new characters to encounter during your visit. Guests are encouraged to dress as a human or a vampire, and they will be treated accordingly. Each guest will leave covered in “blood.”
The Underground Vampire Bar is only open during the month of October, and will begin with their opening ceremonies on Thursday, Oct. 5. The reception will include a sneak peek at the nightly performances; vampire bartenders at the “blood” bar; experimental Japanese musician vampire, Sparky Quano; and butoh dancing with a vampire twist. The bar officially opens on Saturday, Oct. 7.
When guests enter the bar, they will be offered the option to change into a special edition white vampire DRIP shirt for them to paint and cover in “blood” as they sip on “blood” cocktails. They can enjoy pop-up performances as well as a full theatrical show, and end their night with an after party featuring a human sacrifice. The “blood” cocktails will flow for vampires and humans alike until midnight each night.
Guests can visit the Vampire Bar every Friday and Saturday in October, and send off the location in style with a closing party on Saturday, Oct. 28.
“We have a blast watching people arrive to the Underground Vampire Bar, without knowing what to expect and then seeing them get tickled with our characters’ commitment to the world. Whether the guests arrive as a vampire or a human, they quickly become a part of the fantasy which adds to everyone’s experience,” said Jessica Mariko, Founder and Creative Director of DRIP.
Tickets to DRIP’s Underground Vampire Bar range from $35 to $79, and are limited to about 100 people per night. Guests must be 18 years old or older to attend. For more information on the event, and to purchase tickets, visit ILoveDRIP.com.
