’90s nostalgia comes to Disney Parks with new VHS-styled merchandise
By Brittani Tuttle
This past week, we found new merchandise perfect for satisfying your nostalgia for the Disney renaissance of the ‘90s: notebooks themed to look like Disney VHS tape boxes.
The outside cover of the notebooks resemble the original packaging of Disney VHS tape movies, and the first and last inside pages are replicas of the actual tapes themselves. Following those, the notebook is filled with alternating lined and gridded pages.
So far, the only available styles are the original VHS packages for “Aladdin,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Lion King.” It’s unclear if Disney will release any other journals based on different animated feature titles, but based on the popularity of our social media posts about them, we bet they will.

Currently, all three notebooks are available for purchase in the parks at various merchandise locations, and on the Shop Disney Parks app, for $14.99 each. We found ours at the Emporium in Magic Kingdom.
Tune in to the Jan. 26, 2017 episode of “Attractions Magazine – The Show” to find out how you can enter to win the notebooks.
