‘A Day in the Park with Barney’ permanently closed at Universal Orlando

by Attractions Magazine Staff

The sun has set on one of Universal Orlando’s stage shows aimed at the resort’s younger guests: “A Day in the Park with Barney.”

Universal Orlando confirmed that the show was indeed permanently closed on Twitter. The show had previously been “temporarily closed” as part of the resort’s phased reopening plan.

“A Day in the Park with Barney” made its debut at Universal Studios Florida in 1995, and featured a playground area and meet-and-greet in addition to the show.

No word has been shared on what, if anything, will replace this offering.

No, permanently does mean for good. It’s not reopening whatsoever.
